David Brodwin

Executive Fellow, Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance

David is leading The Alliance’s National Community Leadership Alliance. David’s background combines executive leadership roles in management consulting, the information technology industry, and policy advocacy.   He was a Partner at Accenture, where he led the strategy consulting practice in the North American media and entertainment industry unit.  There, he specialized in helping global media conglomerates work through strategic, technological, and organizational challenges raised by the explosive growth of the Internet in the late 1990s.  Earlier, he was Vice President of Marketing at Radius, an computer peripherals company serving the graphic arts and video marketplace, and Director at the consultancy Arthur D. Little, Inc. where he led the firm’s west coast information technology practice.  He led multiple strategic engagements at Apple during its formative years. 

More recently, David has been heavily engaged in policy work, with a focus on sustainability.  He co-founded and grew the American Sustainable Business Council, a think tank and advocacy organization whose members include leading brands in sustainable and socially responsible business.  Earlier, David was President of New Voice of Business, a business advocacy organization, and Managing Director of Rockridge Institute, a think tank specializing in political communications.  While holding these senior operating positions, David authored a regular column on sustainability published in US News and World Report.

David lives in San Francisco with his wife Debra.
