Gail Auerbach has over 35 years of experience in human resources and she co-leads The Alliance’s Chief Human Resource Officer Community. She recently retired from Masonite International, a global manufacturing company, where she led the human resources function for 10 years. During her tenure, Masonite went through significant business changes including over 50 plant closures and downsizing actions, chapter 11 restructuring, rebuilding, multiple acquisitions, and a public listing on the NYSE. Under her leadership Masonite built the HR function and processes, launched the first HRIS, and finally helped introduce the first global Purpose initiative … We help People Walk Through Walls.
She began her career at General Electric and spent 10 years in Human Resource roles in several different GE divisions & locations. Following GE, Gail spent eight years with Bausch & Lomb in Rochester, NY in progressive roles until promoted to Vice President of HR for the Oral Care Division. She later joined the Belgium Company Solvay as Vice President of HR for the Pharmaceutical Business. Her team launched a unique recruiting solution to manage a high-growth period and she led a global high potential program that included 26 different countries.
Gail is a native of Chicago. In addition to her HR leadership experience, Gail has managed global development programs. She is a trained executive coach, and is a certified instructor for DDI in Interaction Management, Career Architect, Benchmarks 360° Feedback, and Coaching for Success.
